CHEM 101/L or CHEM 103/L; MATH 105 or (MATH 102 + 104) or equivalent pre-calculus preparation; Completion of the lower division writing requirement. Role of genes in heredity, development, cellular metabolism and function of organisms; introduction of cytogenetics, genomics and molecular genetics; genetic basis of human disease, including cancer. Lecture 3 hours.
