BIOL 551: COMPTR MODEL BIOL

Prerequisites: BIOL 322, BIOL 360. Corequisite: BIOL 551L. Selected topics illustrating methods of computer modeling of biological systems. Students will be introduced in lecture and in computer laboratories to computing skills related to biological sciences and statistical analysis, including population genetics, cellular and molecular biology, physiological biology, or ecology. Emphasis on understanding the role that computer modeling and analysis can play in research questions. Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 6 hours.
