ECE 296A: FUND ELEC CIRCUITS I

Prerequisites: PHYS 220A/L and MATH 150A. This course is Part I of "Electrical Engineering Fundamentals". It introduces the theory and analysis of electrical circuit. Circuit components such as resistors, independent and dependent sources, switches, and operational amplifiers are covered. Circuit analysis techniques covered in this course include Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's current law, Kirchhoff's voltage law, nodal analysis, mesh analysis, source transformation, superposition principle, Thevenin's equivalent circuit, Norton equivalent circuit, and maximum power transfer. Completion of ECE 296A and 296B will provide credit equivalent to ECE 240.
