This course examines the nature and challenges of California's water resources. Topics include the physical attributes of water (sources, quantity, and quality), the underlying climatic and hydrologic processes that determine the surface and subsurface distribution of water, and the physical, social, economic and management issues that occur as California's water resources face increasing pressure from agriculture, industry, and human populations and climate change.
