KIN 117: ADAP AQU EXERCISE

Prerequisite: All students must complete a PAR-Q (physical activity readiness questionnaire) and obtain physician release if indicated. Provides an aquatic exercise program designed for students with physical disabilities. Students develop strength, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, posture, balance and improved ambulation through the application of adapted and therapeutic aquatic exercise. Concepts of water safety, physics of aquatic activity and specific movement skills will be addressed. Course may be repeated for a total of 3 units of credit. Meets the Lifelong Learning requirement.
