KIN 304: DANCE AND CHILD

Prerequisites: KIN 120 & 120L; Restricted to students in the ITEP Freshman Option. KIN 304 provides students the opportunity to revisit dance (creative, multicultural and international dance forms) and apply their knowledge of this area to working with children. Students will extend and integrate their knowledge of dance to all of the visual and performing arts. Experiences will include planning, teaching and assessing dance lessons in field based settings. Students will also engage in critical analysis and reflection to discover ways to guide children in three unique roles: as creators, performers, and observers of dance as an art form.
