Prerequisites: KIN305. This course explores topics related to the Social History of Sport in the United States and examines the social, cultural and political implications of sport in a broad societal context. This course will prepare students with knowledge and skills to understand historical and contemporary phenomena. This is located in the broader sporting context with direct applicability to kinesiological settings. Moreover, this course will prepare students for success in graduate school and in their careers. This is done by increasing their understanding of the importance and relevance of the social history of sport. Available for graduate credit
