MUS 471J: JAZZ VOCAL ENSEMB

Prerequisite: Completion of MUS 371 or equivalent. Preparatory: Audition. Rehearsal and performance of representative vocal materials preparing the student for performance in the recording and film industries. Special attention to singing techniques unique to this idiom. Available for graduate credit. Graduate students may be asked to take on leadership roles within the ensemble, such as coaching sectionals or assistant directing. 2 hours per week.
