Prerequisites: PSY 150; Completion of the lower division writing requirement. Recommended Preparatory: PSY 301. Analysis of motivations and skills necessary for parenthood and the effect of various parental attitudes and practices on the development of the self. Historical presentation of changes in parenting styles, cross-cultural views of parental practices and current information on the results of deviations in parental care.
