SPED 683: TRENDS IN SPED

Prerequisite or Corequisite: SPED 681. This course is a guided advanced study of pertinent topics related to (a) federal, state, and local agencies and their role in special and rehabilitative education, (b) organization of special education programs, (c) the preparation of teachers of exceptional children, and (d) research and demonstration projects in the education of exceptional children. Candidates will apply this information in an integrated fashion to a critical problem in their own practice. This course is a key component of the Master's program in Special Education.
