CBE 3422: Transport Phenomena III - Mass Transfer
Ohio State University
The transport processes involved in mass transfer will be outlined and governing equations derived. Modes of mass transfer (e.g., diffusion); Steady-state and unsteady-state mass transfer. The concept and use of mass transfer coefficients and the use of dimensionless numbers; mathematical analysis for the different mass transfer modes; analogies between heat, mass, and momentum transfer. Prereq: 3421, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 3521.
