Exploration of the interrelated art forms that comprise hip hop, a culture conceived by African American, Afro-Caribbean and Latinx youth in the South Bronx in the 1970s, including hip hop culture's aesthetic strategies through a survey history of its four elements and tracing their wide influence in music, visual culture, dance, theatre and politics.
