Introduces students to the sources of energy that fuel industrial civilization and the environmental impacts of energy extraction, distribution, and consumption. Explores a range of approaches to moving society toward a more sustainable energy future. Satisfies GE UD Area: 2/5. Earth, Environment, and Sustainability (Formerly Area R). Prerequisite(s): Completion of Core General Education and upper division standing are prerequisites to all UD GE courses. Completion of, or co-registration in, 100W is strongly recommended.
