ME 173: Finite Element Analysis

Introduction to various finite element methods for deformation and stress analysis. Truss, beam, 2-D, 3-D and axisymmetric elements. Applications and case studies. Prerequisite(s) for ME 173: ME 20, CE 112, and either ME 130 or MATH 39, (each with a grade of "C-" or better). Prerequisite(s) for ME 273: BSME or Instructor Consent.
