PHYS 122: Modern Physics

San Jose State University

Survey of modern physics for science majors, covering special relativity, pre-quantum theory, basic quantum mechanics, atomic and molecular physics, solid state physics, nuclear and particle physics, and cosmology. Historical foundations of these topics will also be are presented. Prerequisite: CHEM 001A, MATH 032, and PHYS 052 all with a C- or better.
