WGSS 16A: Women of Color in United States History I

Course examines the history of women of color in the United States from the pre-colonial period until 1865. Centering women of color and incorporating issues of sexuality and gender, course offers a more inclusive and complicated perspective on the conventional narrative of U.S. history. Satisfies GE Area: 4 and US123. Social and Behavioral Sciences and American Institutions (Formerly Area D).
