MAD 5473: Introduction to Cryptography

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to modern cryptography. It begins with private key cryptography and hash functions, then explores digital signatures and key exchange protocols. Students will study public key encryption schemes and advanced concepts such as zero-knowledge proofs and commitment schemes. The course also addresses emerging topics in post-quantum cryptography and offers coverage of the major cryptographic algorithms widely used in practice.
