Introduction to mechanisms that cause a heritable change in phenotype without a change in the genetic code. Covers DNA modifications, histone modifications, and noncoding RNAs that influence the expression, maintenance, and inheritance of traits. Discusses impacts of epigenetics on multicellular life such as learning, memory, disease, and crosstalk with environments. Cross-listed with BPSC 109.
