CEE 246: SURFACE AND INTERFACE PHENOMENA

Introduces interactions in interfacial phenomena; contact angle and wetting; adsorption, desorption, and removal; adhesion; aggregation, flocculation and colloidal stability; crystallization and self- and directed-assembly; friction, lubrication, and wear; and surface modifications. Also covers the interdisciplinary nature of interfacial science and its role in developing advanced materials and technologies. May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) with consent of instructor and graduate advisor. Credit is only awarded for CEE 146 or CEE 246.
