EE 138: ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF MATERIALS

Introduces the electrical properties of materials. Includes the electron as a particle and a wave; hydrogen atom and the periodic table; chemical bonds; free-electron theory of metals; band theory of solids; semiconductors and dielectrics; measurements of material properties; and growth and preparation of semiconductors. Credit is awarded for one of the following EE 138 or EE 285C.
