Prerequisite(s): appointment as a teaching assistant in the Department of Gender and Sexuality Studies Supervised training for teaching in lower- and upper-division Gender and Sexuality Studies courses. Considers feminist pedagogy including gender and dynamics in the classroom; comparative and historical approaches to teaching about gender and sexuality; techniques for discussing sensitive topics; providing resource referrals for students facing gender or sexuality issues; preparation; grading written work; and student relations. Graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC).
