Investigates the modern shape of war, its technologies, its strategies and how it’s infused within broader political and social life. T opics and concepts include military, civil, political, and social violence; insurgency and counterinsurgency; revolution and counterrevolution; enmity and the logics of race; power and force; sovereignty and territorial space ; security and protection; and communicative reason and the lack thereof.
