Research design and data collection are skills that are necessary for all r esearchers to propose and conduct successful research projects. The primary aims of this course are (1) to familiarize students with the process of de signing a research project, (2) to introduce students to a variety of data collection methods typically used by cultural and biological anthropologist s, as well as other social scientists, and (3) to provide students with han ds-on experience and thorough feedback on designing and conducting their ow n projects.
