CHIN 101A: INTRO CLASS CHINESE

The grammar and vocabulary of classical Chinese. Readings concentrate on philosophical and historical works from the pre-Han period, with some sel ections from later prose and poetry. Students with some familiarity with Chinese characters (through another Asian language) but not modern Chines e will be accommodated.
