COMM 160ME: MEDIA AND EMOTION

This course overviews the ways in which emotion has been integrated into th e study of media effects, focusing on emotion as a predictor of media selec tion, as an outcome of media exposure, and as the mechanism by which other media effects occur. Theoretical approaches derived from both traditional and contemporary contexts will be covered, with particular attention to the new digital media landscape.
