Mixed methods research is defined as ?research in which the investigator co llects and analyzes data, integrates the findings, and draws inferences usi ng both qualitative and quantitative approaches or methods in a single st udy or program of inquiry? (JMMR, 2008). This class introduces students to advantages and uses of mixed methods designs for multidimensional inquiry. Students become familiar with mixed methods designs, qualitative methods, q uantitative and qualitative data integration, pragmatic perspectives and re porting on mixed methods studies.
