Transport/depositional processes, sedimentary textures and structures. Sedi mentary environments, using facies models for observation & prediction. Pri nciples of lithostratigraphy, biostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy, and magn etostratigraphy. Seismic stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphic principles . Controls of tectonics, sediment supply and eustacy on sedimentation. Lab, lecture and field trip(s). The field component consists of some 1 day fiel d trips and may include a 2-4 day overnight trip.
