Examines the proliferation of border security technologies used to surveil, detect, categorize, detain, and deport people who cross borders without st ate permission. Together we explore global examples of border security regi mes and resistance movements, including artist and activist media practices that expose and disrupt the violence of state borders, while inviting stud ents to consider their own proximity to and lived experience of the US-Mexi co border here in California.
