INT 594MT: MEDIA THEORY

This workshop is a graduate student driven initiative to foster critical re search on theories of media and techniques in the wake of postcolonial & en vironmental humanities. By resituating/restructuring theories of media and techniques in the context of postcolonial and environmental humanities, it pursues two goals: 1. to discuss the potentials and shortcomings of existin g theoretical frameworks of media and techniques in the context of postcolo nial and environmental humanities research projects in order to sharpen the theoretical framework, and 2. to foster future graduate and faculty collab orations across departments and programs at the intersection of media theor y, postcolonial, and environmental studies.
