MCDB 126: BASIC PHARMACOLOGY

Covers a wide range of drugs with a focus on drugs used to treat disorders of the nervous and cardiovascular systems, antibacterial agents, antivirals , and anticancer drugs. Also looks at the pharmacology of inflammation and coagulation. The goal is to understand the underlying physiology behind dis orders of these systems and the mechanisms of the drugs used to treat them. Additional out-of-class hours are necessary.
