ME 225JS: SP LI ION BATTERIES

An introduction to lithium-ion batteries (LIB). The course consists of a s ignificant laboratory component where students acquire hands-on experience in handling, analyzing, and studying state-of-the-art (SOA) LIBs. Studen ts also learn how to design, manufacture, and test prototype batteries made using prototype manufacturing equipment. Course Prerequisites: General ma terials science course background and students must have valid UCSB general laboratory safety certification.
