PSTAT 175: SURVIVAL ANALYSIS

Introduces methods for analyzing time-to-event data, focusing on both conce pts and applications. Topics include survival and hazard functions, life ta bles, Kaplan-Meier estimation, comparison of survival curves, and regressio n models such as the Cox proportional hazards and accelerated failure time models. Emphasis is placed on developing intuition for the methods and inte rpreting results. Students will gain hands-on experience with survival anal ysis using R.
