Illustrating Stories

5credits
About this course

In this studio class students develop drawing, illustration, and comic-making skills and develop image/text-based work. Students are inspired by the McHenry Library Special Collections Comic Collections, following their interests to explore mainstream comics, alternative comics illustrations and zines. Then, students make their own comics, graphic novels, illustrations, and sequential media work in response. (Illustrating Stories: Fantasy and Documentary Narratives.) May be repeated for credit.
