Studio Proj. Incubator

About this course

Students form creative teams and work in a studio-like environment to design larger-scale games and other interactive media artworks. In this studio setting, teams gain practice working collaboratively in order to design and develop projects from a proposal and proof-of-concept into a demo-ready, playable prototype or interactive installation, exhibited at the end of the quarter. Course topics include strategies for developing and integrating a multi-track design production schedule, responding to and implementing critique or playtest feedback collaboratively, and devising team-based methodologies working within the iterative design process. The class culminates in a student exhibition of finalized projects, accompanied by supporting promotional materials. May be repeated for credit.
