BIOE 281M: Population Genomics

Centers on reading and discussion of selected publications along with peer review of research plans, grant proposals, manuscripts, lectures, and conference presentations. The overarching goal is to support the development and progress of graduate students in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology department whose thesis work and interests align with the course topics. Topics include: Reviewing innovative approaches to the study of host-microbiome interactions; Implementation of novel methods for the study of evolutionary demographics in populations using genomic data; Identifying signatures of selection mediated by pathogens and the environment. May be repeated for credit.
