BIOL 129L: Neurobiology Lab

University of California, Santa Cruz

Laboratory course giving students experience with electrophysiological, molecular, microscopic, and behavioral techniques used to analyze the function of nervous systems. Students gain experience with collecting and analyzing neurobiological data and presenting their results in written, oral, and visual presentation formats. Students also learn to critically read and analyze primary literature in neurobiology and to use the knowledge they gain to develop their own research proposal. Restricted to Neuroscience B.S. majors during first pass enrollment and Neuroscience B.S., MCD Biology B.S. and Biology B.S. majors during second pass enrollment.
