EDUC 110: Ed, Dem, and Movements

Examines transformative learning and action at the heart of movements for social justice. Investigates principles and practices of ''popular education'' and other grassroots education traditions that have emerged from struggles for liberation and democracy. Topics include: abolition-democracy, critical consciousness, humanization, critical literacy, problem-posing, praxis, counter-narrative, participatory action research, and cultural organizing.
