CHFD 6350: Interdisciplinary Family-Professional Collaboration

Explores issues and evidenced based practices specific to forming family-professional partnerships and collaborating across disciplines (e.g., early childhood education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language therapy, social work, nursing, public health, education) to address the complex needs of young children with and without disabilities (or at-risk of developmental delays) and their families in natural and/or least restrictive environments (e.g., home, school, community settings, hospitals). Cert. in Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH), Grad. Cert. in Teaching Child and Family Development: (Birth - K), and M.Ed. Special Education and Child Development: Child and Family Studies students.
