CSLG 7646: Advocacy and Leadership in Professional School Counseling

Developing effective leadership skills for school counselors with an emphasis on organization, planning, management, and evaluation of comprehensive school counseling programs based on the ASCA National Model. Developing skills in the utilization of data for systemic change and student success are detailed in individual student advocacy projects. Requires the completion of their professional School Counselor E-portfolio. Section information text: 100% online synchronous course delivered using Canvas and Zoom. Learn to use Canvas at http://canvas.charlotte.edu/. This course includes required weekly online synchronous meeting time on Tuesdays from 5:30PM - 8:15PM held in Zoom with the instructor. Course activities and assignment instructions will be provided in-class. This course is reserved for Post-Master’s Graduate Certificate in School Counseling students.
