GRNT 6600: Current Issues in Aging

We are all aging every day and older adults are found in every sector of society. This course equips students across a variety of disciplines and career fields with an understanding of the experiences related to aging across the lifecourse. Using a�multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach, students explore relevant issues we face as we age, discuss potential solutions, and formulate policy proposals and recommendations to enhance the quality of life of all of us as we age.� This course is a foundational course in the graduate certificate in gerontology and serves to ground students in essential and core gerontological frameworks, concepts, and theories.
