PSYC 6099: Topics in Psychology: Work Stress and Worker Well-Being

A discussion of selected topics in psychology. Section information text: Occupational Health Psychology (OHP) is a relatively new field focused on the application of psychology to understand and promote worker health, safety, and well-being in the workplace. This course will introduce you to research and practice in the growing field of OHP. Topics will include mental health in the workplace, work stress and burnout, physical and psychological safety at work, interpersonal mistreatment at work, work-life balance, emotional labor at work, and interventions to support worker well-being. Students should be expecting to participate in this 75% discussion-based course.
