Selected topics in Translating and Translation Studies (e.g., continued study of theories of translation, translation of a literary genre such as prose fiction, drama or poetry, translation of historical, political or social documents, or interpretation). Section information text: This course provides an overview of professional editing and revision practices that are regularly performed by professional translators. The course introduces principles and practices of editing and revision, editing as a profession, editing technologies, style guides, and ethics. Skills-building exercises will be used to develop techniques and strategies for copyediting, stylistic and structural editing, content editing, post-editing, and editing for specific purposes. Course taught in English.
