EPC 656MF: CHILD THERAPY

Prerequisite: EPC 670A: Admission to CSUN's master's program in Marriage and Family Therapy. Therapy theories and techniques for working with children, adolescents and their families, including evidence-based treatments for common childhood disorders, assessment approaches, play and child therapy techniques, child abuse treatment, domestic violence, self-harm and suicide interventions. Also addresses resiliency, as well as Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual-Transgender-Questioning and diversity issues. Emphasis on a multi-level, systemic perspective when working with youth.
