EPC 664: NEBD

Prerequisites: Acceptance into graduate program in School Psychology. The course provides a knowledge base of the etiology and characteristics of major neurodevelopmental, emotional, and behavior disorders in children and youth, as well as an understanding of current evidence-based interventions in the schools. Students will be introduced to the ecological factors in the development of common disorders, including: biological bases, family, peer, community, and school influences. Information learned will be used as guidelines for identifying children and youth in the schools who need treatment.
