PSY 367: COGNITIVE PSYCH

Prerequisites: PSY 150; Completion of the Lower Division writing requirement. Corequisite/Prerequisite for Psychology majors only: Concurrent Enrollment in or Prior Completion of PSY 301. Analysis of the mechanisms by which people gather and process information from the environment. Basic phenomena of perception and cognition are discussed with an emphasis on experimental studies on such topics as pattern recognition, attention, memory, language, reasoning, and problem solving. This course may be used to fulfill the 300-level Cognitive Psychology Cluster Requirement for psychology majors.
