SOC 210: SOC INEQUALITY

California State University, Northridge

Inequality has exploded around the world in recent decades, and the gap between the rich and the poor has widened dramatically. Why is this happening? And what should be done about it? In this course, we will explore how social and economic inequalities develop, why they persist across generations, and whether individuals are able to move up the socioeconomic ladder. This is an introductory-level course ideal for students who have not taken intro-level coursework in sociology or related fields. Available for General Education, Area 4 Social and Behavioral Sciences.
