Provides information about all areas of immunology with emphasis on the basic concepts of immune mechanisms of the acquired and innate immune systems. Uses the basic information to study immune disorders and the immune response to infectious agents. Prerequisite(s): MICR 101 (with a grade of "C" or better), or instructor consent. CHEM 112A or CHEM 8 (with a grade of "C" or better). Must be a declared Biology Major (all).
