Principles and methods of microbial, plant and animal genetics. Mendelism, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, mutation, quantitative genetics and genetic aspects of evolution. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 30 and BIOL 31 (with a grade of "C-" or better in each), or instructor consent; CHEM 1A and CHEM 1B (with a grade of "C" or better in each). Must be a declared Biology (all) or Chemistry (all) or Forensic Science (Biology and Chemistry concentration only) majors. Lab/Act: Lecture 3 hours/discussion 1 hour. High Impact Practices: Collaborative Assignments/Projects.
