Network applications, transport layer protocols, Internet routing, data link and physical transmissions. Applications in world wide web, file transfer, electronic mail, peer-to-peer and other areas. Prerequisites: For CMPE major: CMPE 70 and CMPE 126 (with a grade of C- or better); for SE major: CMPE 120 and CS 146 (with a grade of C- or better); Computer Engineering or Software Engineering Majors Only.
