An introduction to engineering thermodynamics focusing on chemical and environmental systems. Topics include concepts of equilibrium, temperature, reversibility energy, entropy, the first and second laws, equations of state, and thermodynamic properties. Emphasizes engineering applications for analyzing and designing closed and open systems. Credit is awarded for one of the following CHE 100 or ME 100A.
